The Honorable Names of the Disciples of Hazrat Khwaja Pir Syed Fazal Ali Shah Qureshi

In Hayat Fazliyah, the list of the disciples of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (May Allah sanctify his secret) also included the names of those who are actually the disciples of the disciples of the revered Hazrat. For this reason, in this book, only the names of those who were direct disciples of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (May Allah sanctify his secret) and received permission directly from him are included.
It is possible that the names of some of the disciples of the revered Hazrat were not included in Hayat Fazliyah. At present, we do not have any source of information regarding them. Therefore, we humbly request the disciples and followers of the revered Hazrat to kindly send any accurate information about such individuals to Khanqah Sharif Miskeen Pur in the care of Hazrat Muhammad Shah Sahib (May Allah protect him).
This will allow their names to be added in the next edition. Additionally, if there are any errors in the mentioned names or if a disciple’s disciple’s name has been mistakenly included, kindly point it out and grant us the opportunity to be thankful. Insha’Allah, such corrections will also be made in the next publication. (Hazrat Maulana Syed Zawar Hussain Shah Sahib).

Shaykh of the Path and Knower of the Secrets of Divine Knowledge, Hazrat Khwaja Muhammad Kaleemullah Shah Sahib (Qaddas Sirrah)

He was the grandson of Qutb-e-Alam, Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Muhammad Fazl Ali Shah Sahib (Rahmatullah Alaih). His noble father, Hazrat Mawlana Shaykh of the Path Khwaja Ali Shah Sahib, was the authorized deputy (Khalifa-e-Mujaz) of Hazrat Shaykh of the Path Mawlana Hussain Ali Sahib of Wan Bhachran. He possessed a simple yet remarkable personality, was endowed with divine insight and miraculous abilities, and passed away at the age of 38 in Faqirpur Sharif.
His revered mother was the daughter of Hazrat Gharib Nawaz Khwaja Muhammad Fazl Ali Shah Sahib. She was extremely patient, grateful, and devoted in remembrance of Allah. She remained in a state of ablution at all times and personally cooked food for nearly two hundred people in the langar (charitable kitchen). She also ensured that the firewood used was pure, considering that wood from the jungle was not always clean.
Hazrat Khwaja Muhammad Kaleemullah Shah Sahib was born in Faqirpur Sharif in 1339 AH (1991 CE). His father had passed away before his birth, and he was born an orphan. He received his education in the Quran and other religious sciences in Bahawalpur Thalwan. He began his spiritual journey under Hazrat Imam-ul-Arifeen Hazrat Fazl Ali Shah Qureshi. After his passing, he took the path of Bay’ah (spiritual allegiance) with Hazrat Ghulam Hassan Sahib of Swag Sharif, District Layyah, the authorized deputy (Khalifa-e-Mujaz) of Hazrat Shaykh-ul-Mashayikh Khwaja Sirajuddin. He remained in his company for a considerable period and was granted authorization only in the Naqshbandi Mujaddidi Silsila (spiritual order).
Later, after performing Istikhara (seeking divine guidance), he realized that his inner self had not yet reached perfection. He was then spiritually directed to take Bay’ah with Hazrat Qureshi’s authorized deputy, Hazrat Mawlana Muhammad Abdullah Bahlavi. He underwent extensive training in inner purification and refinement of spiritual faculties under him and was eventually granted permission in the spiritual order.
Subsequently, he took Bay’ah with Shaykh-ul-Arab wal-Ajam, Hazrat Mawlana Abdul Ghafoor Al-Abbas Al-Madani, who provided him with advanced spiritual lessons in Masjid-e-Nabawi and granted him permission in the spiritual path. He was then entrusted with the service of the Khanqah (spiritual retreat) and Madrasa in Miskeenpur Sharif. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to the Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi-Fazliya Khanqah in Miskeenpur Sharif, overseeing it with great diligence and devotion. He maintained close connections with all associated disciples and scholars and organized annual gatherings.
He initiated the Naqshbandi gathering in Karachi at the residence of Haji Muhammad Noor Sahib in Federal B Area, which continues with divine assistance. His successor, Haji Muhammad Saeed Sahib, has upheld this tradition with steadfast commitment. Details will be documented in the forthcoming book Anwaar-e-Kaleemiya.
He also organized the third annual Naqshbandi-Islahi gathering at Dera Ghazi Khan, Gadai Sharif, which continues at the Khanqah of Hazrat Qureshi’s esteemed deputy, Hazrat Mawlana Ali Murtaza Sahib. Additionally, he conducted annual remembrance gatherings at Masjid Noor in Ahmedpur Sharqia on the night of the 15th and 16th, which his deputy, Hazrat Muhammad Hakim Sahib, has successfully continued to date.
He established many madrassas and mosques across urban and rural Pakistan, personally supervising them throughout his life. His son, Hazrat Mawlana Pir Syed Muhammad Shah Qureshi Sahib (Damat Barakatuhum), now oversees these institutions.
He married three times. His first wife passed away. His second wife bore children but later passed away while engaged in divine remembrance. His third wife also bore children. He visited the sacred lands of Hijaz multiple times, performing nearly seven Hajj and numerous Umrah pilgrimages. Each time, he performed an Umrah dedicated to the Holy Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him).

Personality Traits

Hazrat Sahib was a highly dignified and simple person. He possessed exceptional religious qualities, preferred modesty, and followed the Prophetic Sunnah in every aspect of life. He always wore a turban, a kurta, a tahband (lower garment), and leather footwear. He owned only two sets of clothing, often giving away one set to the poor and wearing the other. He traveled mostly on foot, though he sometimes used other means of transportation.
He freely distributed any excess household items to the needy, including blankets, bedding, and utensils, considering it an act of worship. He never sought revenge for personal injustices, entrusting everything to Allah. He was generous, humble, and well-mannered, and his gatherings were filled with divine wisdom and spiritual insights.
He disliked worldly praise and discouraged followers from using titles and honorifics in invitations and advertisements. He emphasized humility and detachment from fame. He never ate food prepared by a non-practicing Muslim and avoided market food throughout his life.

Spiritual Experiences and Passing

He frequently experienced visions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and in his final days, he had continuous encounters with angels and divine beings. He shared a vision where he was taken to Barzakh (the intermediate realm after death), where he saw a vast gathering of pious individuals wearing turbans and bowing in humility. He was told that this was his eternal abode.
He often remarked that events of the future were revealed to him in dreams a night before they happened. He was devoted to serving his mother, personally attending to her needs and considering it a divine duty.
Hazrat Sahib never tolerated violations of Islamic law and corrected them immediately, feeling deep distress over any misconduct. He treated the rich and poor equally, focusing on their spiritual growth.
A year before his passing, he prayed publicly at a gathering, expressing his desire to pass away in a manner where pious individuals would perform his funeral. His Janazah prayer was held on March 24 (Thursday) at 10:00 AM during the annual gathering.
